timesofndtv: The US president has recently imposed a ban on flights from India to repatriate Indian nationals stranded in the US.

Named "Bande Bharat", these flights have been operated by Air India, India's state-owned airline, for the past few months.

But the U.S. Department of Transportation said in a statement yesterday that the operation of the aircraft between India and the two countries violated the terms of the agreement.

The statement said India was only airlifting its citizens on Air India flights and was also charging tickets from stranded nationals.

But according to the agreement, American Airlines is not getting such an opportunity.

As a result of India's unilateral action, the climate of healthy trade competition is deteriorating.

So the US government is now shutting down these flights of Indian airlines. The next decision will be taken after 30 days by re-examining the situation.
